Just another Friday Night

People my age usually spend their friday nights partying till Saturday morning and suffer thereafter in-controllable head Thuds. I spend my friday night's blogging into the wee hours of morning. And i wake up saturday morning refreshed with inspiration.

After filtering the normal stuff- Normal has no definition, here are my inspiration links.

In a fashion conscious world with trends changing with the blink of an eye, they come up with a concept of sustainable clothing. I know sustainability is the new black, but im wondering how many are converting to it/ will convert to it in this lifetime? Some people are too self centred you know, they'd rather just live like kings in this life.. anyway! Nau Designs- Sustainable Fashion. Check 'em out! On the lines of sustainability is this guy- He's made this sink from which you have to pour out the water after usage which makes you conscious of the amount of water used. Go Green!!

I'm known for falling asleep on the keyboard and turning up next morning with key impressions. Infact people say i can copyright this trait! Aah well, i guess i could blame it on the quite dull sleeping procedures- But not anymore! Majagan Designs has done a fantabulous job for freaks like me!

We've heard of cars running on vegetable oil and i was introduced to this really snazzy kit that converts your diesel engine to one running on vegetable oil! I wonder if they deliver here- though im not sure of the latest on Jetropa and if at all i can have access to it.. Hmm. Maybe when im rich enough to process it myself Heh!

I was cribbing a few days back that with the amount of time i spend on desktops and laptops i need to have good wallpapers! I dunno why i never came across this before but they shall be a regular feature on my screens now. Amen! My personal favorite is exhibition 4! I have the one with the little kids foot - Step forward little Tommy plastered for now.

Thinking of holding that coffee cup from the top coz its just so damn hot!? How narrowly did you miss tipping it over the babe passing by? This little thing definitely needs to be worked on but i admire the concept as a start... Maybe we should look at this opportunity for a Great Green Idea! Suggestions/Debate/ Discussions are always welcome.

Few sites i really enjoyed apart from these were -
The hobbit/ elvan name generator- Call me Nessa Telmnar or Ruby Sandybanks of Frogmorton Heh! I like the ring to it!

Freedom of Creation
- Check out their lighting segment.

Igor International - I quite enjoyed their intake on Brands and Branding.

17 Secrets of an Inventive Mind
- Need i say more???

The concept of Hell Notes
- I dont believe in afterlife, but this concept is quite intriguing...

Post Scriptum- Normal, it is defined and underdefined and is gray like every other word in human dictionary except right/ black and wrong/white. A long drawn debate on grey, black and white may ensue resulting in nothing except further questions & therefore im game for it! Open house- Whoever is interested comment here and we can chat- The importance of gray against black and white.

Bring the Brix

How many times have we thought- I wish i could have a piece of this. Ofcourse when its
chocolate cake all it takes for your fantasy to come true is to befriend the birthday girl/boy or make up a story by virtue of which the last remaining shred of hope for your mere existance is that one piece of this cake, but when it come to technology things may just get a bit tricky... unless your recently developed cloning machine is activated with a push of A button.

Brix, a novel concept in television and tele-talk! Each phone is a separate screen that can join to another Brix to form a bigger phone and a bigger screen! Imagine all your classmates having this little baby- 40 of them and its surround sound, dolby digital paravision experience in the breaktime heh!

Experience Design

The Cloud - from mitmobileexperiencelab on Vimeo.

An organic sculptural landmark that responds to human interaction and expresses context awareness using hundreds of sensors and over 15,000 individually addressable optical fibers. constructed of carbon glass, spanning over four meters, and containing more than 65 kilometers of fiber optics, the cloud encourages visitors to touch and interact with information in new ways, manifesting emotions and behavior through sound and a dichotomy of luminescence and darkness.

Neat eh? If nothing else the changing forms and colours at presence and the sense of touch can be ideas that can definitely be taken forth. Come to think of it any design that requires the user to creatively tackle the object makes the object cherishable. Aint it? A new way to tackle sustainability?? One wonders...

Epiphany!

Here Ye! Hear Ye!!
Yanko's designed an epiphany!
To the wonders and joys in the world of dejiieen
I thought Notcot was Great!
But this is Divine...

Rant I shall through endless tracts
To show you what I saw today
The realisation, 'NOT CRAP'

What is Good Design?
Maybe you could help me define
Im a novice in this world
My rings dont make a chime..

Blu Dot gave a startling answer
Questions though it rose a few
Heck what good are answers
If they dont raise questions Anew

Transism.Com ; An attempt if you may,
If i devote more time and energy on blogging
Maybe this is what i could gain heh!

Spiderman Without A Cause

"I have climbed in New York, as a peaceful way to create support for far greater and urgent action from world leaders on global warming. Emissions are still climbing. So am I."

Things people do to prove their stupidity.
Alain Robert

So people of the world who want their voice to be heard- endanger your life!!! Coz the government actually gives a damn about the 1 you in 1 million billion trillion people in this overpopulated planet.

De-Addiction Taking a Hike

De-addiction taking a hike im back to blogging.
So for all the dimwits who just stared at the last notcot post, the little pictures are there as links to the sites that give you nice useful information. Seriously.

PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINKS TO BE DIRECTED TO RESPECTIVE SITES.

heh, moving on......

Arboreal bus stop- now thats a concept! We all talk of going green, sustainability, recycling-The Green Way! But we never really get around to doing much. Just adding a bamboo interface or covering rooftops with trees is not the solution! An Arboreal Bus stop, now thats something to think about. Sure this guy is messing with nature to sculpt trees but we dont really need sculpted trees for a bus-stop, just plant one here and one there and add a climber here and there and voila! theres your Green Bus-stop!

Digitally altered photos! theres a story! a successful one can actually publish lies! imagine the power of one digitally altered photo- imagine a digitally altered keanu reeves with george bush's wife- room for gossip there eh? and who can blame her! its keanu reeves!

Blu-Dot, check out their section on good design. An excerpt- the dog cone- "yes it prevents wound licking. But the best part is that it proves we're smarter than them. And that just feels good." download the clock- nice piece to add to the desktop. (btw i think the site has been recently hacked so just cancel when it pops up with username and password details, you dont need those to access the site)

I love the name of this one- www.extremetoysforboys.com

I saw this piece of furniture in an advertorial and found it quite amusing! okay its 4500 dollars hehehehehe and apparently very wobbly. Its one of those things that if you ever buy you would never sit on . Patrick Jouin has been experimenting a lot with materials and i still have to figure out the deal with Materialise and MGX- whats the deal with them! The whole process seems a little confusing, i will surely write another post on this.

Imagine- BOXES. Lots of them. Now stack them together. Noow make it into a building. Put people in them. Make it an Office. heh! This is just that with a slight difference. Its not an office, its a museum. New York Museum. The building is pure white with a facard of stacked boxes and just one very apposite 'hell yes' written in multicolours. Check it out!

Later!

Post-Scriptum : One of the most interesting things i've come across i must say! http://www.materialise.com/materialise/view/en/114835-About+.MGX.html#ppt_1510436
