The Yin and The Yang

Worth a Share-

The study of ancient Chinese characters reveals that “yin” and “yang” were once used to indicate geographical locations. “Yin” referred to the colder northern side of a hill and “yang” referred to the warmer side facing south. Over the course of many centuries, yin and yang became symbols with multiple meanings denoting two opposing forces within a harmonious whole. How yin and yang can be reconciled to embody harmony is a key theme in Chinese philosophy.

My own Little Version of Notcot

Photographic Arts

I am still deciding whether to make this into a tag or an entry coz this guy's work is quite - Intriguing!

Chris Jordan
- Best known for his work depicting consumerism in the United States, looks at little plastic things and electronic goodies used in everyday life that we cannot possibly recycle to the fullest in un-uttered numbers and depicts it through his photographic skills. Throwing vanity away to the streets here is an image depicting 32,000 Barbies, equal to the number of 'elective breast augmentation surgeries' performed monthly in the US in 2006.

Depicts 200,000 packs of cigarettes, equal to the number of Americans who die from cigarette smoking every six months.

We need people like him to get us back to ground reality!

Cupid's Pointed Quill

Now for people who know me know my love for digital storage. So ofcourse you can imagine my flat out self over this-

The Iomega ego drive
1 terabyte storage
1000 gigabytes........

Im too much in love and adoration to write more. All i can plaster over the wall is - IWANT!

270 dollars.. hmm.. Does China know of this?

Recycling at its Naive Best!

I was planning to write this article on how the best way people can think of recycling anything is to turn millions of those pieces into a lamp! Really has there been a dearth of innovative thinking of late or are inspirations running away?!

Putting that thought to a rest ...'lo and behold

Abstract /Edited- Guardian, U.K.

The organisers of the London Olympics are planning to pass on more than just the Olympic flag to the next host city when the games end in September 2012. The hot target for the next being Chicago, London's deal with Chicago has struck a possibility as both cities have decided to build main stadiums with small numbers of permanent seats while erecting giant seating scaffolds for the two weeks of competition. Talks have focused on how London's stadium might be bolted rather than welded together, ensuring the materials used allow it to function properly in another country and climate, and how sections might fit on a cargo ship.

HOK Sport, architects of London's Olympic stadium, have deliberately designed the arena as a kit in part. A permanent concrete bowl of 25,000 seats will remain in place for athletics, lower league football and rugby, but every other component could be sold on.

A good start, whatsay?

An ode to an Ants' Swimming Pool Escape

Now this little me

my antennae tingling- Im going to die!

ouch now theres no peace in death?
o.O whats this?
a messenger from god- hating hell?
oh my god its singing
its huge and white
"Thats right little Ant-y
im here to save your life!
cling on to me and you'll see
these mortals and humans grabbing on to me"
so hold on tight you'll be safe with me
as long as these 10 hours of music dont die with gleem

A! Grace. Its saved my day

Words Divulge Depression

Express
A thing to consider
A thought to preach
A soul to teach
A love so kitsch

Express Love
Express Hate
Cherish a moment
Express it to to your mate

Expressions seem to rule the world defined
Hearts seem to forget its chyme
an attempt to re-visit the hearts desire
Expressions is what this post requires!

When words seem to forget expression
thoughts seem to divulge depression
theres hope in the grayness of words
expression through this-
my camera's apperture!

Captured through kausani, this is all that you can get till i figure a better way to display the pictures. your loss. enjoy.

Search Around the Corners

Little things that matter much. Innovation at its naive best, Curly Sue is a desk lamp designed by Wendy Tytherleigh for her graduation show.

Need I say much?
Never judge a book by its cover though. Ahem.
Chris Adamick.

With clientele including Nike and Coke this idiot is completely full of himself as is evident from his webpage. But well, so are the rest of the 100 million and fast increasing designers.

You're not Good Enough till you think you're the Best. COUGH!

Check out Chuck Anderson

Rikky's Quick Quip

He's 18. Wow. Gasp! Drool! Ogle. Scream. Pinch (ouch!)

An embodiment of perfection he's the savior to the world of 18 year olds who focus all their meandering thoughts on decking up their b.e.a.ut-iful hinds!

He is also the embodiment of futility to show that a little bit of detail can make anything look good.

Or maybe a graphic designer calls for it!

While you figure that out, presenting the kick-ass 18 year old dutch graphic designer
